Your thoughts on prostitution/escorting/hooking?

This subject is usually always good for some discussion. So what are your thoughts on women that take money in exchange for sexual favours? And I'm talking about the women who make the decision to enter the profession on their own. Not about people who are forced into it or do it just because they need more money for their drug addiction, I think most people will agree that is obviously bad. But I'm talking about the ones that make the choice because it's what they want and choose to do. So what are your thoughts about it?

For me... I believe in a person's right to choose. The negative aspects of the business seem to be caused by the lack of regulations and the fact that it's illegal so everybody's sneakin' around. I'd like to see it regulated so the girls could be protected from disease, pimps, and "johns." I've never used a prostitute (or even gone to a strip club) because it just doesn't seem right... not to mention, I'm married.

As stated in Katie's post, as long as it's not something that's forced on a woman, or done to support a habit then I don't think there's anything wrong with it at all.

I agree with Cumfun that if it were less taboo and more regulated then there would be more protections from all the nastyness that comes about because it's underground so much.

I have never paid for sex or gone to a strip club either, but not because it doesn't seem right. Mainly because I've never had the money to spare when I might have needed or benefited from going.

Hey, I'm all for it. Provided a girl does it willingly, then yes, she should at least give it a go. If I were a girl, I would be the biggest hooker ever!

i think no simply because this would eventually give the option for SOME women (even men) who would see this profession as the "easy way out". Many of them wouldn't want to get regular jobs or if the real world seems to be too hard, which is how many young women feel, they would see this as another option to support themselves. Or some may not even try to attend college or actually try for another jpb and would simply goes after this first before considering anything else.

Selling is legal, sex is legal...so what's wrong with selling sex?

We can sell cancer causing cigarettes, pollution causing cars, guns, knives, etc, etc. But if someone tries to sell someone an orgasm, we're supposed to wring our hands in distress? Oh please, it's the most retarded objection ever.

I used to object to the notion of paying for sex (like blowjobs which I never could imagine getting enough of  ). I believed it was an admission of absolute desperation or loneliness. Since then however, I've cum...er, come to realize that so long as it's a practiced in a safe and clean manner with respect on both sides, where's the harm? Two people are getting something they want. It's only a childish and immature perspective that makes the issue anything special.

Selling sex is just one of the major advantages women have over men. Bow to the superior gender guys! (or hand over the cash, if you prefer)!
